What is OneSearch?

Answer

OneSearch is our name for the library's search engine, which lives in the dark blue box in the middle of the library's homepage:

OneSearch searches through almost all of our books, ebooks, journal articles, and databases.  Note that after you run your search, you'll need to click on the yellow "Hello, Guest" banner at the top of the page and log on in order to access full text:

You can use the filters on the left-hand side of your search results to limit your results to certain types of sources (just books, academic journals, etc.), a specific publication date range, peer-reviewed sources only, and more.

By default, OneSearch is set up to only find materials that we have instant access to.  However, if you click the "Available in Library Collection" limiter to remove it, you'll be able to search OneSearch's entire information database and use the "Request ILL" links to get items we don't have.

There are a lot of ways to use OneSearch to winnow down your search results, so don't hesitate to reach out to a librarian for tips!
